Very Remote
The campsite is in a remote location; however, there are numerous locations accessible in this area. If you want cell service for your phone or streaming, you must go back and up to the top of the park. Their swimming pool is not heated. The place has good showers and facilities. For those chilly days, bathrooms have hot water. There are many restrooms around. This Place is Huge!

The pool and amenities are fairly tidy and attractive. On the west side of the campground, there is a lot of fresh landscaping and well-kept lawns. This place is, by the way, really big.

Most of the time, the place has very few people; so you can always have a peaceful family lunch there. Soledad is more deserving of a 4-star rating. Large Run Down Campsite with Plenty of Potential
The campground is in a picturesque valley West of Los Angeles; Acton is commonly known as a “horse town” by many people in LA. The nickname is well-deserved, adding to the pleasant combination of relative (one to two-hour drive) accessibility to the city with surrounding rural areas.
Although the campsite is in poor condition, it appears to be going through a revival. Many of the electrical poles are inoperable, there is frequent trash on the ground, many sewer pipes have an open hole covered by a rock, and much of the inter-site landscaping has seen better days.
Nevertheless, a lot of work is going on to turn everything around. The resort’s location, structure, and recent amenities bode well for its potential to become a fantastic five-star resort. Just a little cleaning, remodeling, and landscaping need completion initially.
Needs Improvement

Canyon RV is not far away from Los Angeles. It’s about an hour and a half drive on the foot of the San Gabriel mountains. The campsite setting is ideal for individual, groups, and family trips. The enormous swimming pool is fantastic, and the pool tables are in excellent shape.
There is a train that occasionally passes by, one around 3:30 a.m. It can be noisy sometimes, but it is not unpleasant since it’s not frequent. The park offers full hookups, electricity, and water. There are both 30 amps and 50 amps full hookups. Due to the fact that they are typically people’s first choice, the full-hookup, 50-amp sites are usually in high demand and hard to find.
As for network coverage, it’s not that bad for a remote area. With AT&T, you can achieve a 1Mbps upload and 30Mbps download. Even though T-Mobile only has 1Mbps, you can still operate your phone without a problem.

Policies & General Policies
The expected check-in time is noon if you visit the resort’s campsite. In contrast, visitors who rent cottages check in at 4.00 pm. Check-out time is 4.00 pm.
Upon check-in, it is a requirement that every visitor provides a valid identification card, registration documents for their camper, and an insurance certificate. Also, the resort’s membership card is essential.
Children and younger visitors (those below 18 years) must present a filled booking form from their guardians.
Reservations & Payments
Call the reservations department at (877) 864-2728 to make adjustments to your reservation, and be sure to mention that you made the reservation online. Before your arrival, the resort will charge the itinerary total to your credit card, up to a deposit of one night’s rack rate.

Cancellations & Refunds
If you reserve more than one site, cancellation fees are applicable for each site cancellation or booking alteration. There won’t be any refunds given out for early departure.
RV campsites: Full refunds are available for cancellations of daily and weekly reservations made up to two days before your arrival date. For daily and weekly reservations, Soledad Canyon provides full refunds for cancellations made seven days before your arrival.
Daily and weekly reservations: You’ll have to forfeit your deposit to one night’s rack rate for cancellations made with less than the specified time before arrival.
Extended stays: The resort accepts cancellations up to 60 days before your arrival date for extended reservations (longer than 28 days). The resort reserves the right to hold your deposit money for a future stay if you make cancellations less than the required time before arrival.

Soledad Canyon camping is a stunning RV park with resort-style amenities at the foot of the San Gabriel mountains. This well-shaded park features tall Italian Stone Pines, cottonwood, elm, and palm trees. Cabin – One Bedroom (Sleeps 4, No Pets Allowed)
Each cabin has a flat-screen TV, satellite cable, and central heating and cooling (*fireplaces are available in some areas). The “all-inclusive” cabins, which have brand-new furniture, come complete with towels, shower curtains, and liners in addition to bed linens and blankets.
Most sites have wraparound porches, patio furniture, and barbeque pits equipped with a coffee machine, silverware, plates, pots, and pans (as well as coffee, milk, and sugar). If you are a wine connoisseur, you will also find a wine cork in each kitchen. This cabin can accommodate four people; however, it is not pet-friendly.

TT Cabin (Sleeps 5, No Pets Allowed)
Five people can sleep in the bunk-style double bed (on the bottom), single bed (on top), and futon in the living area of a Thousand Trails cabin. The bedding is for two people; however, you can request an additional bedding bundle at the time of booking. There’s no oven, and it’s not pet-friendly.
